Have you found a dog?
Is it a German Shepherd?

image 17.png

A stray dog does not necessarily equal a dumped dog.  Every owner must be given an opportunity to reclaim their pet.

Anybody who has lost a dog will first check with the nearest shelter, which is why we require any “found” dog go through the proper stray hold before we can consider it.

All Good Shepherd Rescue dogs are fostered in homes with other German Shepherds in the greater Dallas / Fort Worth area.  We are not a shelter and do not have a facility.

If you find a loose dog you should:

.  Follow the instructions on:

.  Report as found to shelters within a 5 mile radius

.  Post on Nextdoor and any FaceBook lost & found pet pages

For more exposure, you can post the dog on the Facebook used for networking German Shepherds in North Texas:  https://www.facebook.com/groups/NTXGSDR/

We see every dog posted there.  The page is also monitored by rescue groups out of this area & prospective adopters.

Must include pictures of the dog, your location and a way to contact you.  The more information you can provide, the better.

Thanks for your efforts in saving the dog.  Recognize that many shelters and rescues remain full due to the staggering numbers of stray dogs.
